It is an honor to endorse Connie Bennett Martin for the Fort Myers City Council.
I have had the opportunity to get to know and work with Connie over the past two years. I have seen her commitment to this community in her job as Community Manager ( Lee and Charlotte Counties) for the Girls Scouts of Southwest West Florida. She has formed more than 50 Girl Scout Troops here in Lee County over the past 6 years and trained over 100 new leaders and recruited over 1,000 young girls. She is a role model/mentor for these Girls Scouts and provides strong, thoughtful and passionate leadership to the organization.
Before joining the Girl Scouts organization she was a Senior Special Events Coordinator for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South West Florida and was also a Wish Granter creating and delivering 4 wishes to area children each year. She also had extensive business experience as she owned a medical transcription company for over 9 years
Connie is a very conscientious, involved, and resourceful community member. She has served on numerous volunteer committees in Fort Myers thus showing her commitment to our community She is aware of local issues and researches the issues extensively to be able to speak with first hand knowledge .
Connie is an outstanding leader and is well respected by the business community, educational leaders and the community at large. She would be an asset to the City Council .
I highly recommend her for the Fort Myers City Council.
