As the city of Fort Myers, FL has grown, so have my desires to make an impact on our community.

I have been engaged in projects like building Kid’s Space Playground for neighborhood children, organizing art and music festivals for the greater community and working the logistics for the Downtown Brick Street Project. Becoming your city council member is a natural progression for my passions to improve the lives and lifestyles of our community and protect the future of Fort Myers.

I strongly believe in private property rights. I think that high density is great ONLY when it is coupled with infrastructure to support it, public use areas, and green space. These are the type of values that will safeguard our neighborhoods for generations to come.

I’ve spent most of my adult life with public relations and volunteer management, listening to what is needed on ALL sides and finding ways to work together. The city needs someone who is capable of providing transparency, sharing ideas and listening to concerns. The business skills that I have developed while owning my own company and working in non-profit for over 15 years has been invaluable for my success with budgeting, collaboration, volunteer management, meeting deadlines and evaluating bids and proposals.

From my home of nearly 30 years off McGregor Blvd, to my son’s home on Central Ave, to a Friday night in downtown Fort Myers, I am routinely in every corner of Ward 4, which gives me an all-encompassing view of our ward. Ward 4 needs strong representation that will be the voice of the people and fight to keep residents at the forefront of plans for development. I love Fort Myers, and we can do better.

This is what sets me apart.
This is how I can fairly represent ALL of Ward 4.
This is why I ask for your vote AUGUST 18th, 2020 to elect me –  CONNIE BENNETT MARTIN for the city council seat – Ward 4.

It’s not just about me, it’s about you and the families I will represent.
